Description:
LATEST NEWS ON SYD: Syd went to visit our vet again this week. His bad eye had developed an ulcer on the cornea. We were hoping that surgery would be able to correct it. But we were wrong. Our vet advised that the ulcer was too severe and that the eye was going to rupture - only a matter of time. So we opted to have the eye surgically removed. Syd is doing very well following the surgery. He does not seem to have any trouble adjusting to one-eyed vision, so it is likely he could not see out of the bad eye before it was removed anyway. This upated photo was taken 3 days following surgery - you can see the white sutures - and it is looking great.

UPDATE ON SYD: Syd is such a personable young cat. Everyone is drawn to meet him when they come to our adoption events. He is so silly and playful. But then they look him in the eyes and they look away ... and walk away. Just because Syd has one bad eye does not make him a bad apple. He is not special needs - just special. There has to be someone out there who can love him for his one good eye.  A very beautiful deep green eye. Will that special someone please contact us soon?

Syd is a very handsome dark gray tabby with white paws and bib - as well as a thin white blaze on his nose. This young man is very energetic. He loves to play with other cats and to chase toys and climb in boxes. When the fun is over and it is time for a nap, he wants to snuggle up by your side but does not care to sit on the lap.

Syd was rescued from animal control when he was just a baby. He contracted a serious eye infection when he was in foster care and it has left him with slightly impaired vision in his right eye. You can see the cloudiness in his photo. This physical imperfection does not detract from Syd's personality one bit and it does not slow him down either.

We think this lovable little guy will steal your heart if you give him a chance.

What's included in the adoption fee? Spay/neuter, Initial vaccinations, First deworming, Feline Leukemia and Feline Aids test, Rabies vaccination and tag, initial Flea treatment, Adoption Welcome kit
