Chaz nka Figaro
Chaz nka Figaro

Figaro was originally called Chaz while in foster care, but he is quite happy with his new name AND his new life. He started out being abandoned at the Petco store at the Loop which is sad enough, but this poor little guy also had severe ringworm on his tail and back legs. Our foster home fixed him right up, but then he caught a bad cold.

Fortunately Figaro's new mom could see past his problems and she fell in love. Now, less than a year later, Figaro is a big beautiful cat. We think he looks like he has some maine coon cat in him which is funny because he always had short hair until a few months ago. Regardless, he is happy and healthy now and well loved by his new mom who takes him on long walks in his stroller.

In fact, Figaro is so happy that he stopped by Petco recently to give us a donation to show his appreciation for helping him get a good start in life. Thank You Figaro - it was our pleasure:)

Cleopurr
Cleopurr

Cleopurr won the hearts of a young family who live in South Carolina. We were a bit concerned about the long trip home in a car, but her new family reports that it was a success: "Cleopurr did great on the ride getting a little restless in the last hour, but she made it. She is doing great with the other cats and they love playing with her".

Cleopurr also got to meet a young who looks nearly identical to her - this cat was rescued by Cleopurr's new family and now lives with their mother. Cleopurr and she also got along great.

Jimee nka Miley
Jimee nka Miley

When Miley (originally known as Jimee) first went to her forever home, she was a lot of trouble. She was tearing up the carpet, getting behind the tv to chew up all the wires and jumping up and scratching the tv and computer screens. Her new family was at their wits end with her. We gave the family some suggestions and fortunately things started getting better. Her family tried very hard to be patient through this "teen cat" phase and to let her grow out of it.

We are very happy to have an update now that Miley is almost a year old ... she has settled down completely. Now her favorite thing is to lay around on the sofa. Although she is not into sitting on laps that much, every night she sleeps at the foot of the bed. Her family loves her a lot as is very obvious by the patience they showed during the teen phase.

Jorge nka George
Jorge nka George

Geroge had a sad but inspiring story when he was rescued from animal control. And he had a face that only a special person could love (one eyed, crumpled ears). Lucky for George, that special person came along to rescue him one last time and give him a forever home. That special person is Bill and this happy tail is based on his notes to us.

Bill tells us that George (previously known as Jorge) is his shadow. George has slept with him every night since he's been at his new home. He's healthy, happy and has taken over the role of Alpha cat with the 3 resident females. They resisted but he's tenacious.

Bill says "Adopting George was one of the best decisions I've ever made. He is beautiful both inside and out. He lives a life of leisure that he so richly deserves".

Adair nka Milo
Adair nka Milo

Milo has fit right into our home. His older sister Patches actually babies him - she cleans him constantly and talks to him like he was her son. She's a very good care giver. They are both so cute cuddled up next to me at night. They both try to be close to my face but Milo usually wins and eventually gets his sister out of the way so he can lay near my face and she lays under him. I will continue to keep you posted as he grows. Again thank you for allowing me to adopt him - he is so wonderful.

You can see more photos of Milo, including one sleeping in the laundry basket with his sister Patches, on his webpage.
